How much does garden design cost in Wicklow?
A full design for a standard back garden starts at €400, which covers the site visit, the scaled 2D plan, and the planting schedule. Larger or more complex gardens are priced on the day. When you book the construction work with us, we credit the design fee back, so the plan effectively costs nothing.
Do I have to use you for the construction too?
No. The design is yours to keep and build with whoever you like. Most clients do go on to have us build it, because the crew that drew the plan knows exactly what was intended, and we credit the design fee back against the work.
How long does a garden design take?
From the site visit, a typical residential design is ready in three to five working days. Bigger gardens, or designs that need input for walls or structures, take a little longer. We agree the timeline at the visit so you are never left waiting.
What style of garden can you design?
We design contemporary low-maintenance gardens, traditional cottage and country planting, family gardens built to take real use, and formal designs. Séan trained in landscape horticulture with Teagasc, so the planting suits your soil and aspect, not just the drawing.
Will the design work with my Wicklow soil?
That is the whole point of designing first. Much of Wicklow has acidic, boggy soil and high rainfall. We choose planting and drainage that thrive in those conditions, rather than fighting them, which is why our gardens still look right years later.
