Garden Clearance in Wicklow and South Dublin

Garden Clearance by Kearney Landscapes in Wicklow and south Dublin 3-year guarantee

An overgrown garden can feel like too big a job to even start. Brambles to the knee, an old shed full of who knows what, self-seeded trees in the wrong places. We clear it in days, not weekends, and take everything away, so you get back a space you can actually plan.

Before we touch anything, Séan walks the garden and points out what is worth saving: a mature tree, an established hedge, a shrub that just needs a hard prune. Then the crew clears the rest, lifts the roots, and prepares the ground for whatever comes next, whether that is a new lawn, a patio, or a full redesign.

TL;DR

We clear overgrown gardens back to a blank canvas: brambles, old planting, green waste, and invasive species like Japanese knotweed, all disposed of properly. A half-day clearance starts at €450 and a full day with a three-person crew from €950. We flag any planting worth keeping before we start.

Garden Clearance: your questions answered

How much does garden clearance cost?

A half-day clearance with our team starts at €450, and a full day with a three-person crew from €950, including taking all the waste away. The price depends on the size of the garden, how overgrown it is, and how easy the access is. We confirm it after a quick look.

Can you remove Japanese knotweed?

Yes, and it needs handling correctly. Japanese knotweed is an invasive species that spreads from tiny root fragments and is regulated in Ireland. We identify it, treat or remove it properly, and dispose of it through licensed channels rather than spreading it around. The EPA has guidance on why this matters.

Do you take all the waste away?

We do. Every job includes loading and removing all the green waste and rubbish, disposed of responsibly at licensed facilities. You are not left with a pile of brambles or a skip to organise. The price we quote includes the haulage.

Will you keep the plants that are worth saving?

Yes. Before we start, Séan points out mature trees, healthy hedges, and shrubs that just need a hard prune rather than removal. Good established planting is hard to replace, so we work around what is worth keeping unless you want a completely clean slate.

What happens after the garden is cleared?

We cultivate the ground and leave it ready for the next step, whether that is a new lawn, a patio, planting, or a full redesign. Many clients have us clear and redesign in one go, so the garden goes straight from overgrown to a drawn plan.
